Prototypes and user-testing blue and pink in color



Questions asked:

  • You are a 13-year-old girl that has never used tampons, can you tell me how to use them?
  • You are feeling sick, could it be TSS? What do you do?
  • You don't speak English can you use this product?


Feedback:

  • instructions are clear but upside down?
  • TSS info clear and easy to find but action should be bolder.
  • diagrams are clear for non English speakers. 
  • Warning on the outside is scary
  • Nice colors, very friendly and fun feeling
  • like "First Timers" panel as soon as you open up the package.
  • TSS info repeating. 
  • I have no mirror to look?
  • "relax your vagina" to forward wording.
  • mention that it could be uncomfortable
  • mention to wrap tampon in toilet paper before disposing of.
  • Use more diagrams. if you can.
  • "choose from positions above" doesn't make sense.
  • All these flaps are annoying for everyday use. 
  • How does it close?
  • What's the order of folding?
  • How many tampons are in a pack?
  • L's and I's are weirdly thick.
  • Typography needs tweaking. 
  • tampons don't fit well


I used one color of tampon that matched my color theme.

  • All the information is clear and easy to follow.
  • It's pretty and looks slick.
  • tear off flap is a good idea but not obvious that its there.
  • the line to the vagina is weird?
  • Reduce risk bullet points need work
  • Make sure underlines are not to long
  • Make white illustration lines bolder so its clearer to see.
